Symposium proves to be a great success. The beautiful Dartington Estate near Totnes in Devon was recently the setting for a symposium to debate the notion of utilising the creative arts as a motivation tool education. Comments like the one below confirm that the symposium was a success; a full evaluation is currently being prepared. There were six speakers present, all gave their services free, for which we are extremely grateful. Karma Tucker (performance artist) created a presentation based on the subject of street dance and street culture. Her presentation can be heard here. Karma's question time can be heard here, Gareth Ballyn, who is an M.A. student at Dartington College of Arts, has taught in the arts for over ten years and has been investigating the curating of student's art work in unusual places. Caroline Cash was until recently a Research Fellow for Learning and Teaching who seeks to support colleagues in undertaking research into their own teaching practice and to disseminate findings through publication and conference presentation. Pauline Ridley's presentation looked at the inclusion of art within academic subjects and contained a
wealth of both anecdotal and experiential pedagogical information. Her presentation can be heard
